Frankie and Benny’s

Frankie and Benny’s do a bottomless breakfast from Friday to Sunday.  “Enjoy free refills on your favourite breakfast dish when you visit us before noon. So will it be the warm and fluffy pancakes, mouth-watering eggs benedict or the classic British fry up? You might have to put it to a vote!” There are some conditions on this offer though – while there is no limit on reorders, you do have to reorder the same dish each time, you can’t share and you have to finish before ordering more (fair enough!).  The offer is not valid at airport locations or Edinburgh Royal Mile High Street.  Make sure you get the offer from the website here.  You don’t need to order the unlimited breakfast though, you can order regular breakfast too like waffles, pancakes or smoked salmon.

Beefeater’s breakfast offering at Beefeater is excellent value especially if you have kids as one child eats free and they count kids as 15 and under.  Breakfast is a set charge but is unlimited and you can help yourself to all the components of a full English breakfast as well as continental items like pain au chocolat, cinnamon and raisin bagels, sourdough crumpets, fruit and yoghurt and cereal.  You can also help yourself to unlimited Costa coffee and Twinings tea. “Beefeater has been on an exciting journey since opening our first site in 1974. Chiquito is a lively, family friendly Mexican chain restaurant.  They serve breakfast, available every day until noon.  Breakfast items include the Breakfast Sizzler, Breakfast Chimichanga plain tortilla, Mexican eggs benedict and the Breakfast feast.  You can build your own pancakes with toppings liken bacon, sausage, mushrooms, fried eggs, hash browns, guacamole and tomato, or sweet toppings like strawberries, banana or chocolate sauce.  They also do smoothies and cocktails!

Cosy Club has an extensive Brunch menu that’s served until 5pm (so you won’t be too late!).  You can choose from the Cosy Club Breakfast – the Cosy Club take on a full English, or go for something sweet like Buttermilk Pancakes.  Keep it simple with a Smoked Bacon or Cumberland Sausage Sandwich or go all out with Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs.  You can also find a vegetarian breakfast or Avocado Brunch.

Bill’s has a lovely eclectic, home from home, comfortable feel to it.  Brunch plates include the ‘Bill’s Brunch’, two fried free range eggs, smoked streaky bacon, Cumberland sausage, roasted plum tomatoes, mushrooms, potato rösti, baked beans, black pudding and toast.  There are three vegetarian options including ‘Bill’s Garden Plate’, two poached free range eggs, halloumi, roasted plum tomato, charred red peppers, smashed avocado, hollandaise, mushrooms, potato rösti, baked beans, pea shoots, mixed seeds & toast.  Or, for a lighter dish you could try Smashed avocado, feta cheese and poached eggs.
