Turtle Bay Bottomless Brunch Review

Turtle Bay Bottomless Brunch Review – we tried the Turtle Bay bottomless brunch offering in York yesterday (the offering is the same whichever Turtle Bay you visit though).  I have to say it was great value for money and I would recommend both the food and cocktails.  To start with, the drinks are unlimited for two hours and you can choose anything from their extensive cocktail menu or you can choose Prosecco or Red Stripe.

You can also choose a dish from their brunch menu, which includes options such as the Big Kingston Grill Down (Classic breakfast with a Caribbean twist. Jerk bacon and sausage,
mushroom, roasted tomatoes, curried chickpeas with homemade grilled roti and free range eggs your way) and the Honey Bunny Yardbird (Soft bara roti stack with beach-style fried chicken topped with maple syrup, cream cheese, fresh watermelon and a slight kick of hot sauce).  You can also choose a burger of fresh roti dish.

If you don’t fancy brunch, for an extra £4 you can upgrade to choose from the main menu.  The deal is valid every day from 10am until 3pm, and until 5pm on a Sunday.  I chose to upgrade to the main menu and went for the Mo’Bay Chicken (Fresh marinated chargrilled chicken breast, topped with mildly spiced creamy sauce) which was delicious, though I could have eaten a larger portion.

One of my friends went for the Shack Stack Burger (Fully loaded with a juicy beef patty and jerk bacon, smothered in melted cheese with sticky bbq sauce) with a (extra payment) side of Cheesy Jerk Fries.

I must say the fries looked very good, as I mentioned you do need to pay extra for these, but unless you have a very small appetite, I think it is worth it.  My other friend went for the Chicken Roti Roll (Succulent pulled jerk chicken, smashed avo, sharp pink onions, crunchy lettuce and mild jerk mayo.)  She really enjoyed this.

We tried lots of cocktails during our visit.  We were very well looked after during our visit by the manager and our glasses were never quite empty before being offered more drinks.
