11 Best Brunch and Bottomless Brunch in Edinburgh 2020

Best Brunch and Bottomless Brunch in Edinburgh – Scotland has slightly different licencing laws to other countries and ‘bottomless brunch’ can refer to bottomless food rather than drinks.  There are still plenty of drinks to be had but these can be limited to four or perhaps six drinks rather than being bottomless.

 

Gaucho – Premium Bottomless Brunch

Gaucho is a glamorous Argentinian steak restaurant and they do a premium brunch.  You can choose from such bottomless brunch dishes as Choripan Sandwich, Steak and Eggs, Eggs Royal and Coconut Quinoa Porridge.  To accompany your meal, you can choose from up to four drinks from Botanical No 1, Jack & Ginger, Bloody Marys, Aperol Spritz, Rekorderlig and Cinnamon Colada.  If you want to upgrade you can then partake in up to four Pornstar Martini, Domain Chandon and Espresso Martini.  You can spend 90 minutes at your table.

 

The Pantry

The Pantry serve breakfast and brunch.  For breakfast, choose from ‘Pimp my Fry’, Rare breed pork sausages, streaky smoked bacon,  Stornoway black pud, Campbell’s prime haggis, smoked paprika and thyme tomatoes, beans, confit mushrooms and a free range egg on sourdough toast, or ‘Matcha Matcha Man’, Brioche french toast, matcha meringue, lemon curd and raspberry mint butter.  For brunch try ‘Sunshine on Stockbridge’ sweet potato, plum tomatoes, grilled courgette, guacasaca, free range poached eggs and poblano peppers, sourdough or Waffles – homemade deep Belgian waffles with blueberry compote, fresh blueberries and 100% Canadian maple syrup.

 

The Ivy – Saturday and Sunday Brunch

The Ivy Edinburgh do a Saturday and Sunday Brunch (and bank holidays).  The restaurant itself is a beautiful art deco inspired space.  With options like Truffle Arancini, Zucchini fritti, Eggs Benedict and Avocado Benedict, as well as Hot Buttermilk Pancakes for those (like me) with a sweet tooth!

 

The Edinburgh Larder

Côte Brasserie serve breakfast and brunch from 8am until 12 noon on a Monday to Friday and then 9am to 1pm on a Saturday and Sunday.  Highlights include a breakfast set menu that involves any cooked breakfast with fresh orange juice or cloudy apple juice and a hot drink of your choice.  Options include a full English breakfast, Crepe Complete (pancakes, bacon and comte cheese), Eggs Florentine, Eggs Royal and Eggs Avocado.  They can make a gluten free full English breakfast.

 

Las Iguanas Bottomless Brunch

Las Iguanas do a bottomless brunch.  Choose a starter and a main and enjoy up to four glasses of prosecco or four pints beer.  The deal runs Sunday to Friday from 11am-3pm (last slot being 3-5pm) and lasts for two hours.  On a Saturday the times are slightly different and the brunch runs from 11am-1pm (last slot being 1-3pm) by reservation only.

 

Slug and Lettuce – Boozy Brunch

Slug and Lettuce do a Bottomless Brunch.  You will need to prebook.  You can indulge in selected brunch dishes and enjoy up to six glasses per person of Prosecco, Mimosas, Aperol Spritz, Bloody Marys, pints of Amstel, Virgin Marys or selection of soft drinks for two hours!  Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  You can enjoy favourites like the full English breakfast or ‘Pornstar pancakes’ – five American pancakes, topped with a Prosecco, vodka mango and passionfruit compote.  If you spend a little more you can upgrade to a BBQ rump steak sandwich, Halloumi and avo sandwich or Tostada topped with chicken and chorizo.

 

Loch Fyne

Loch Fyne was “brought to life by two oyster enthusiasts, Johnny and Andy, who started selling their oysters from a small shack on the west coast of Scotland.  We now have 22 Restaurants up and down the country, providing fresh, sustainably sourced seafood dishes; much of which is delivered fresh from the loch itself.”  Loch Fyne have a good brunch menu including Baked eggs, Loch Fyne Kippers, Avocado, pink grapefruit and chilli and the Loch Fyne Breakfast (grilled sausage, back bacon, black pudding, haggis, mushroom, baked beans, tomato, egg how you like it and toasted sourdough).

 

Revolution Bar – Bottomless Brunch

Revolution Bar serve a bottomless brunch every Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4pm (bookable in advance).  Choose one brunch dish for options such as a Brunch grill, or gluten free brunch grill, fried chicken and bacon waffle, blueberry, banana and Nutella pancakes. and blackened cajun chicken burger.  Then choose two hours of unlimited drinks from the choice of Aperol Spritz, Ketel V&T, Blank Canvas, Amstel, Prosecco or bloody Marys.  You can also upgrade to Pornstar Martinis.
