Las Iguanas does a cracking bottomless brunch and we sampled it yesterday. The deal is: you get to choose a starter and a main from their brunch menu and then you can indulge in bottomless Prosecco or draught beer for 90 minutes from when you are seated. As soon as we were seated we were offered drinks, so there was no delays. Bottomless brunch is available every day of the week. On Saturdays it is served from 11am until 3pm (last booking at 1.30pm), and every other day it is served from 11am until 5pm (last booking 3.30pm).
Bottomless brunch is £29.95 per person (do check on their website though as the prices may change over time). If you like cocktails you can add bottomless cocktails for an extra fiver BUT there is no charge for bottomless cocktails from Sunday to Wednesday. You can mix your drinks – you don’t need to stick to just one type, so feel free to start with a lager then move on to cocktails! You only get one drink at once and can only order another when you have finished your first (like in real life!). Everyone at your table must be on the Bottomless Brunch menu, though soft drinks are included too.
So, what did we think? Well, we had a brilliant time. We visited the York Las Iguanas which has a roof terrace. We were very lucky and got glorious weather – between that and the Latino vibe, it was like being on holiday! And we all could use a holiday at the moment! The staff were great – fun friendly and efficient and made sure to ask regularly if we wanted more drinks.
The food was excellent too. On that note, I have plenty of food pictures for you. So, there were six starters to choose from and we plumped for Chicken Wings in a Spicy BBQ Jerk Sauce:
Brazilian Beach Cheese (Salty, squeaky cheese pan-fried & served with oregano & sticky chilli jam):

Then from the Main Course menu we chose the Beef Burrito (Shredded beef braised in chipotle in a wheat tortilla stuffed with rice, refried beans, crunchy slaw & cheese with salad, sour cream, guacamole & roasted tomato salsa on the side.) I asked for no refried beans in my burrito (shudders!) and they happily obliged.
